Mr. Bormes ensures that his assigned hotels meet their financial performance targets and comply with corporate operational standards; represents the management company to the owners and shareholders; and sources new hotel development opportunities for the group. Mr. Bormes is also the general manager of Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou. Prior to his current role, he was the area manager for Shangri-La Hotel, Guangzhou and Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou. Mr. Bormes joined Shangri-La in 2003 as hotel manager of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong. His previous hospitality management experience includes posts in Korea, the Philippines, Taiwan and the USA.
