Vehicles can be hired from AU$60 per day (drivers must hold a valid drivers' licence and be over 25 years of age). All types of vehicles can be hired, including family station wagons, sports convertibles or four-wheel drive vehicles for exploring the outback.Please note that in Australia, traffic drives on the left.
Cairns is quite navigable by car. A number of car hire companies operate from Cairns Airport. Driving instructions to the hotel are as follows:
- Exit the airport onto Airport Avenue.
- Take Airport Avenue until you reach the Capitan Cook Highway and Sheridan Street intersection.
- When you reach this intersection turn left onto Sheridan street.
- Follow Sheridan Street through the city.
- Turn left at the Sheridan Street / Spence Street intersection.
- Follow Spence Street, keeping in the left lane, it will turn into Pierpoint Rd and you will see the hotel.
- Turn right into the hotel driveway just after the traffic lights on Pierpoint Road.
- Turn right into the hotel just after the traffic lights.
