Exploring Changzhou
The temple, a state grade 4A attraction, is reputed to be the first Buddhist monastery in the southeast of China. It was built during the Zhengguan-Yonghui Reign of the Tang Dynasty, Tianning Pagoda is being built at the back of the temple's main building in the octagonal tower style of the Tang and Song Dynasty, 13 stories and 153.79 metres in height.
